I'm not gonna deny ya that. Ppl who become parents for the first time either at 19 or 32, or somewhere between. We are all nervous, don't have a clue. Here's a hint, we all wing it. We try our best, we learn fr our mistakes, we admit we made mistakes. We make sure our kids know that we love them. We tell them and we show them. And yes, we have to be mean sometimes, but not buyin that game or game system that they want. Believe it or not, they will survive. You did, I did, and the boys will as well. You need to grow a thick skin, but not so thick that you can't bend every so often. Remember what MLK, Jr said. "I have a dream." He had a dream, and his dream is still goin strong. Don't ever give up your dreams. W/out your dreams, what do you have? You have nothing. So never give up on your dreams. Right now you are adjusting your dreams. I admire you for steppin up and adjusting your dreams. A lot of ppl wouldn't bother to take care of their kids after such a long period of time, plus work on their dream as well. You are a very unique and special person, and I'm so grateful to have you in my life, not as grateful as your kids, but I feel very blessed. Don't ever give up your dreams.
