The Cast of Atherean Defenders
A century before the events of Uprising, decades of political unrest have finally culminated in the exile of Yin, one of Heaven’s two ruling parties. Angered at their queen’s exile to the fiery underworld, roughly one third of Heaven’s angelic population follow her into exile, leaving Yang, her brother, to restore order to the former paradise.
Half a decade later, three children go playing in the Athearean Sea, Heaven’s largest body of water. Only one returns, and the horrors the child describes are beyond anything the Angels have ever imagined. Something hungry has emerged from Yin’s domain, something that has overtaken the Athearean…and if left unchecked, will overtake Heaven as well.
Hoping to avoid mass panic, four angels are dispatched in secret to investigate the threat in the Athearean. What they discover will not only ignite a blood feud that will last for generations, and plunge Heaven into a war that may tear the known Universe apart.
A world in flux.
A place of great evil and suffering that has not yet been named.
And a war that will resonate across the cosmos will begin in the seas of the afterlife.
